Alexander’s Early Breathing Work with Penelope Easten

The Course
The Chapter ‘Evolution of a technique’ in Use of the self describes FM’s voice problems and the discovery of primary control. But in the first ten or more years of Alexander's working life he was teaching breathing and natural elocution. How do we square these two facts? I am currently working on a second book - on the history of how the AT evolved. In this one-hour workshop we'll explore some of my discoveries about my new understanding of how the technique began, drawing on Alexander's early articles and facts we know about his early history. Learn to breathe as Alexander may originally have taught it!
